Default 6hour Tamiya endurance meeting












We will be running a 6 hour Tamiya Mini endurance meeting on Sunday 12th December 2010 at the Weeting village hall, nr Brandon, Norfolk.

Doors will open at 10am. Race runs from 11AM-5.30PM with a lunch break at half distance.

Teams will consist of 4 drivers with each driver sharing equal on track time (timing sheets to be handed out at meeting and we will trust each team to be honest with drivers on track times)

Rules for racing
Tamiya Mini
All Tamya 'M' Chassis are eligible
Electronics
Speed Controller~Standard Tamiya ESC is the only permitted. Part Number: TEU-101-BK. Also Tamiya wiper style may be used.
Motor ~The standard Tamiya silver can motor is the only motor permitted. RS-540 type.
Steering Servo~ Any is permitted
<LI style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">Battery Pack ~Batteries are permitted only if they are NiCad or Nimh Packs with a limit of 6000Mah. Lipo’s are strictly forbidden for racing.
All electronics must be secured properly to the main chassis. Transponders will be provided a the beginning of each meeting and must be fitted
Drive train-
Standard Tamiya gearbox, No ball differentials, Carbon gear shafts are not permitted. Main gearbox must remain stock however the pinion may be changed to 16t, 18t or 20t. Fully ball racing the vehicle is allowed.
Suspension-
Only standard mini sized suspension is allowed. Ride height must be minimum of 5mm all round. Oil filled shocks may be used however drivers are responsible for leaking fluids on the racing surface.Ride height will be checked when the car is ready to run.






Body shells -
Any mini derived shell is permitted to race at Weeting model car club.
Cooling holes are allowed.
The Body must clearly display the race number supplied by the race officials at the beginning of the meeting.
The Shell must be cut to the manufacturers specification and sit suitably on the car, if at any point the body touches the carpet the vehicle will be disqualified.
Wheels / Tyres
All treaded tyres are allowed. No Foams or spikes.
The Wheels must be standard mini size. No touring car wheels or tyres.
Hop Up’s -
No performance enhancing upgrades
Heat sink motor mounts allowed
Ball races allowed
Aluminium Steering Hubs allowed
Steering track rods allowed
Servo Savers allowed
Oil filled shocks allowed
Plus any small hop up as long as it does not affect the original chassis design.
