Default X-6 New rear shock tower

Ellis / Chris / Dan

Will any of you be running the new two piece rear shock tower at Stotfold National??? Or is it really only a mod to improve things on the US dirt tracks??

More info can be found here - http://www.one-ten-rcforums.com/2wdr...pic.php?id=291

That thread shows some "home-made" versions, but there's a post from Chazz explaining about the new tower.

Is it me, or does the first pic, rearward facing, the motor isn't parallel to the layshaft, slightly cocked it is.

I like the the shock mount idea though!

I think you'll find that's a standard "feature" of the X-6... seem to remember hearing that recently...

Just as I was about to say how the fcuk do you know about those???

Unfortuantly these parts haven't made it across the pond yet so I'm really not sure, Ive not actually seen any pics yet either but we've talked about it and they sound ace. We've learned that the outer 2 holes are never used by anyone really but that an extra hole in is very good particularly on high grip tracks.

I don't remember if mine was like that, I can assure you though my 4 gear one is perfectly straight

I heard about this last week, Its an excellent idea as the Rear shock tower at the minute is almost all the rear of the car.

In these picks its the first time ive seem Losi arms and hubs on a X6.

Any Comments ???

There is a chance we will have the towers for Stotfold but it all depends on the post!!!

We all have the pre production 4 gear transmission cases to try, infact the 2nd version of it should be with us very soon.

The new rear tower will be very good and will mean any changes we want can also be done in a flash, and it will also mean any rear tower breakages will be really fast to repair unlike now where it is a rear end strip down, not that they break much though!!

Very interested Phill aren't we

E.
