Exclamation Adding Lipo

Hey,

In our club we might change to lipo now,
We already did a test, but we are not sure how much and where to put lead.
The car, Associated B4 FT (race ready with lipo) weighs now 1429.
And needs to come at 1605 - 1625.
I need to add 182g lead and than the cars weighs 1611 (that's good for me)
So my question is can u guys help me with this,
I only need to know how much lead and where I need to put that lead.

Thanks,
Martijn

Just a small sample of the threads covering this subject.
I've covered both B4 and B44 as you've not mentioned the car.

I can only tell you what the Team use!
Normally and mostly under the servo we have around 70g - some of the drivers have less like around 35g.
Mostly and practically everyone runs weight under the Lipos. From 50g to around 90g. Lipos weigh in at different weights so there available 50g, 70 and 84g of weights.
Some team members also run a bulkhead and this is normally to dial in or out on the steering and or jumps.
That's about it really unless it's extremely bumpy and then the brass brace is used which gives you additional 60g of weight.
All available from RudeBits or of course lead strips like you mention.
Hope this has helped you a little

Weigh the nihm pack, then your lipo, make up the difference in lead directly under lipo. adjust lead forward or back to suit you. Thats ballpark

Ok,
Thanks,
I have seen an other topic and tried this:
10g under steering rack
10g in front of servo
10g inside the front bulkhead
20g top of servo
x2 10g in rear pods behind electrics
15g behind anti squat brace
And a lead plate under the lipo.

I came on 1608 gram race ready.
I go today or tomorrow to the race track and try it,
I hope it's a lot better now then the first time with lipo.

The NiMh weighs 423 and the lipo 295
the difference is 128, so I need to put a plate of 128 under the lipo?
