Default running stock spec profiles in buggys?

Is it ok to run one of the stock spec profiles that advance the timing of a motor, in a buggy using a non stock spec motor eg a 6.5t / 7.5t

All the "stock" profiles I have seen specifically exclude modified motors, they push them too hard.

Also, I don't know why you would want to run stock profiles on a mod anyway. Mod is ample power off-road already, and tweaking stock spec profiles is about the most tedious thing imaginable on a race weekend.

The beauty of mod racing is that you just gear it and race it.
