Well from what i have tried, the only thing that could be changed is the setup and how hard or soft the shocks are, as-well as springs. Well the last competitive race i did with one, was the in-door finals and the shocks were quite hard so over the bumps the back-end might suddenly pop-up, which sometimes makes it hard to race on bumpy tracks. But on the rest of the track it was awsome, a really good stable car to drive, very fast and smooth.

You carnt really do anything with them, well only the obvious kind of setups, very very good car on smooth tracks though, about 1 of the fastest 4wd's other than the pred

I liked my old xxx4 but i did spend a few quid on it. A oneway is a must aswell as the tc front pivot blocks, extended steering arms, alloy pivot blocks front and rear but i can't remember what degree, LCD driveshafts helped but not needed, yellow HD belt, if you can get hold of any the trinity rear hubs are good if not use the bk2 ones. Is it a xxx4g+ or a standard xxx4.

the Paul Worsley rear brace helped a little at the rear. The oneway, TC blocks and extended steering arms are a must as Matt says. SuperDan Greenwood used to make these but doubt he still has them. You can make your own from a broken front shock mount etc.
A friend still races his XXX4 occasionally and when i tried it found it handled really well. He runs the really big holed pistons in the rear with slightly thicker shock oil then normal. Helps reduce the pack slightly so it goes over bumps a bit better.

On our slightly bumpy dirt track I used 30 oil, orange pistons, pink springs, inside hole, long vla and rollbar with large/oversize clamps. Front with blue pistons and 60 oil, silver springs. Also try narrow wheels /old Losi, and dogbones. Still though, the xx4 is better

can anyone post pics of the extended steering arm mod, also are any mods needed for the tc pivot blocks, or is that a direct fit? thanks.
