Hard Cased Lipo - Case split open

One of my saddle packs has split open by a couple of mm, i can push it back together, but suspect it is because the LIPO itself has puffed up slightley. Should i even try and charge or bin it? Ran it last weekend when it was very hot so wonder if this caused a problem.
