Default Tekin sensor lead

Hi just got a tekin rs and carnt get it to work correctly can you use any sensor lead or does it have to be a tekin lead.

What are the faults you are finding?

the car wont pull off or rev up to the max.
loss of power
runs like one of the motor wires have come off.
going to take it to ardent for some more help

When you have the motor connected, with a sensor lead, turn the unit on, and slowly rotate the motor, check that the end 3 LED's blink out in turn, if you don't see all three, you got a sensor problem. Try a new lead, if no luck, try a different motor.

They light up but not very bright, should they be bright.

no, the three end LED's should be dim, barely visible.

Is it on a 1s lipo?

its on 7.4V lipo.
when i turn it on it flashes 1 and 2 and 6 and 7 then they go out and you get a beep and 4 lights up.

you have got the 3 motor wires soldered up correctly haven't you?

A to A
B to B
C to C

which motor is it?

have you tried reversing the transmitter throttle in it's setup?

motor wires are fine
its a speed passion 13.5 also tried a GM 10.5 still the same.
not tried the throttle reverse

1,2, 6,7 is indicating wrong motor type...... brushless fwd & brk should be MT 1 led on

just checked its set to BL DL with hotwire but still flashes the 4 lights when switched on and will not move when throttle used have to push the car to start it off.
