Default pinion size

I have a lazer zx5 with a 9 turn ezrun motor. The spur gear is 78t and the pinion is 24t.
i know the cal is 78/24=3.25 then x2.5=8.12
but i can find any info to check if this is ok for the motor ie will the motor run too hot.

24T seems pretty high, I've got a D4 WCE and they recommend an 18T with a 9 turn motor in the manual (plus its an 80T spur).

Normally 18T to 22T is a pretty good range. Start low and go high

Hope it helps
