Someone posted on here today, and I think their post has been deleted in case it offended anyone, but I'd like to respond to it.
We all use different words to describe things, and this can cause some issues when ordering spares. Most people I know, call the little plastic things on the end of TC driveshafts as "blades", but some of my suppliers, call the driveshafts the blades, either that's because that what they've been told they are, or in their class of racing, that's what they call them.
If I was to talk about "top hats" with most people at my club, they know I'm talking about the castor bushings, but someone else might not know that, so, as much as I'm loathed to do it, it is very important that when ordering stuff, you can also supply the part number as a cross reference, 'cos if you just ask for tyres, I have no idea what car you're running or where.
This isn't a criticism of anyone, I'm guilty of the same thing myself, I think we all are at times, but just try to remember this, and we should all be happy
