Mine have done this a couple of times in the past, I'm sorry to say this, but the the only way I've found to cure it it to plug it into the computer and just saving the info that the software detects from the speedo back to it.

You could try plugging the quick set card into and changing the amount of throttle limiting. That might kick it into working.

No worries mate. Just make sure you find a 32bit version of windows on the computer or the software won't work.

It might be worth checking when you've got it connected to a PC that you're running the latest firmware as I can't remember it happening to me since I upgraded both of mine.

If you go here http://www.losi.com/Support/XcelorinDownloads.aspx you can download the latest version (which for the sensored ESC is D010130.lsc). Make sure you get the correct one though as putting the sensorless firmware onto a sensored ESC will turn it into an expensive paperweight.

You can also get the latest version of the Setup software from that link too.

The version that it has installed onto the computer is version 3 so it must be one of the new units with the updates pre installed its a bit annoying as it is fresh out the box. I was going to run it by changing profiles and using setup card and not using the computer lets hope Losi sort out the problems with it, the one in my 2wd is fantastic and is one of the first ones. Thanks again for the help if anybody knows how to get to default factory settings without the comp let mr know.

Well it was working a treat now I have the glitch problem on full throttle. The disc in the box had the version 3 software which is what I have installed is there a new version that will stop this. I have tried nimh setting different sensor wires and a power cap in the reciever (I know now it is speedo not reciever). I have a very sore head now after head butting the wall, I know when it is sorted it will be ok. Can anyone help or advise cheers.

Could you define the 'glitch problem' please?
One of my xcelorins was intermittently glitching (would run 8 laps then no power to motor for a second then run fine for another few laps then it would happen again) I upgraded the firmware to the latest version and it was fine all day Sunday.

When I put the car in full throttle from a stand still it stutters. It is ok if you gently push the throttle stick. It is the voltage protection thing I think, but I have version 3 program from the disk in the box (not losi site) is the version 3 on the site different.

The v3 software on the site says it was updated in '09 sometime if that helps.

Did you also update with the latest speedo firmware? The version number was in my post earlier in this thread.

I'd try connecting it up again and see how it goes. If that doesn't work, give the shop you got it from a call.

If you connect it to the pc again you can lookup the version of the firmware.
As Ian says, just make sure you download the correct version if you do decide to upgrade.

Had a similar problem with my speedo on sunday at Ardent, had also been ok until then but I did do an update in the week before so will double check the firmware and updates before throwing in the bin

Peet

Did you solve your stop start problem ? My brother has been having that problem for a while, we have re-bound it and sometimes its fine but others its very much as you described...!!

Well I ran it all day Sunday and it was faultless whereas on the Friday before it had the stop start problem. I think I upgraded from a very early version of the firmware.

Word of warning, I got the Error Reading 2010 message after it had upgraded the firmware, all of the options on the setup screen were blank and I was very worried!
But I was able to restore the factory defaults via the menu options at the top. Just something to bear in mind if you ever get that message!!

Well I tried it yesterday with all the latest firmware and sofware and it is still not right so it is going to have to go back I think there is a problem with the unit itself.
