Default Probably a done to death question, but....

I'd like to come back into off-road next year (yep a way away yet I know).

Currently im on the blackstuff (no not backy, tarmac) so will have an abundance or racing gear already, so negate that straight away.

Kit wise what are people using that is specific to off-road, any special tools, anything that should be in a pit bag ?

Racing wise im based in the West of Essex (only 15 miles from EC1 London). I know of a track in Ware, Herts and of course EPO in Kent, but are there any other decent off-road clubs around, preferably one that runs during the week rather than weekends as I have my kids then ? Have checked the BRCA site, some there arent many stated, and just hoping people will know of one through word of mouth or from going.

Lastly, regards actuall events, what are the best events to attend and where ? Of course, nationals, but what else ? Again this will boil down to me working out my budget for racing as well (TC will take a slightly back seat while concentrating on off-road).

Fnial question - as it seems tech charts arent printed much any more, in 2wd and 4wd what motors are the general norm, along with servo's etc etc ?

Loads of questions, hopefully some answers and alot of thanks in advance

Oi Jo, Ya mum!

there's stotfold up the A1 which runs on Wednesday night.

Anything brushless and modified will do, 6.5 is good start in 4wd

Cant think of any special tools other glue! no pre glued tyres anymore unless you go schumacher! oh and a 12v batt as most places dont provide power.

Servo - A nice strong metal geared one
i used a plastic geared one (savox) when i first started out in 4WD and it lost some of the teeth after just 3 runs
