Default losi 8ight smartdiffs

is any body using them if so what do they think of them? are they any better than the standard diffs? what are the improvments??

They come up 2nd hand quite often on the forums & ebay...so are they all that??

I ran front and centre on my 8T 2.0 for around 3 or 4 months, AND at the time felt they were an improvement.
I spoke to one of the Losi Team drivers at a national, and he said why are you using them, they only really work on blue groove tracks.
Took them out, and low and behold, I was quicker.

Why, you may ask, why did I not see a difference.

New car, and put them in just before we moved onto the dirt track at our club, so no real comparison, but I liked the way it drove.

I remember racing at Grantham a couple of years back, and that went blue groove, and think if J12 is dry, that blue grooves, so if at any of those circuits, then if cost isn't prohibitive, then go for it.
