hi lad's this is my first post on here as i only became a member sunday so i hope it's in the right place if not i'm sorry.
i popped in to nercr sunday on my way home from work and was amazed to see only 5 people racing touring cars. the club needs more racers so what i said was why don't we hold a couple of buggy club day's and the people that were there said yes. so what i'm thinking about is running the first buggy club meet on the first sunday of september at chuter ede in south shields. and we are looking for racers to come up and have some good buggy racing outdoors. the reason we are doing this is as i said the club has to move on and provide racing for all classes and i think a lot of people are going back to buggys (me included) so if you could post your coments on here or p.m. me for more info. thanks chris. |

Hi Nobby,
NERCR has an awesome indoor venue. I would suggest getting a series going there, 1 per month, don't let it clash with Worksop or the NE winter regionals and you'll be likely to get a good attendance. Heck, I may even travel up for it too! In the summer, you have more series's to contend with. With NE regionals, Nationals and then first Sunday in September are the F2-3-4 finals. But build up a loyal club-base during the winter and summer should then look after itself with Buggy racers, I hope. ![]() |

thanks chris
i have posted to get feed back if the dates clash we can move it. as for nercr's great indoor venue. we don't race at nissan anymore as they put the rates up (a lot) so we are trying to find a new indoor venue that suits buggys and touring cars. at the moment we race at chuter ede school indoors which is very small but we have been told we can hold regionals outdoors and camp for free. which is the up side. i will be coming to batley this weekend so if anybody needs any info or could surgest any dates come over and see me. |

Hi Nobby,
Its a shame about the Nissan Factory costs, what I think makes the track is the carpet being great, the use of jumps and the rope track markings being easy to see - although a lengthy process but a venue can be changed, so I hope another great venue turns up for the club. One thing which is important is whatever happens, the club survives. |
