Default Grease on belts

I recently rebuilt the diffs on my xx4. I have then had to take the car apart again and noticed some of the grease seems to of leaked onto the belts. I have cleaned it off and didn't use loads when building the car. This happened to anyone else? and should i be worried?

Ive noticed a touch around the base of the belt tunnel at thea rear sometimes but never on the belt. It was never very much though.

I really only use enough to cover each of the balls. With that much, you shouldn't see too much of the excess, if any, flung around the chassis.
