Default TV/Surround Sound / Audio Help.

I have a ps3 and an xbox and would like to connect them both to my tv through my surround sound, so I can have some quality sound not just through the tv. At the moment I can't run either through the surround sound as it doesn’t look like I have any hdmi outputs from the surround sound to the tv.

Anyone care to give me any ideas on what I will need to get it sorted. I want to sort it out so I can experience gt5 how it's meant to be 

this is the tv i have

Danny..

I have an AV amp set up at home..an older Pioneer jobby with no HDMI inputs/outputs..but you can do the below... difference is unreal mate..

So..

PS3 via HDMI lead straight to HDMi socket inthe TV...

PS3 Optical output straight in to an optical input in your surround sound amp.

Do the same with the xbox, you may have to use digi coax though if not enough optical input sockets.

All you then do is flick the inputs on the amp for the sound... HDMI leads for both consoles are straight into the tv so again flick the input to which ever your using...

Its handy to have HDMI inputs and outputs on the AV amp as it switches everything for you, but not essential..

Cheers

Checking the spec of you system,You have 2 digital optical connections.
Forget about any leads to your TV,
As Nick says just get an Optical lead from you Xbox or PS3 into the AV amp.
Then you should just choose the correct input on your amp manually to get awsome surrond sound.
