Default Schumacher CODE 2.4Ghz transmitter (probs)

Hi everybody :-)

I've recently purchased a CODE to replace my oldskool KO transmitter,
since the beginning I've had some troubles with the car switching off, a "off"-"on" with the ESC switch made the car work again.
This happened 1 time on a training day, another day 2 times and last sunday I had to stop my national because every qualif round the car stopped after the "Kampenhout wall" and after it was switched on again, a couple of turns later in went of full speed, crashed into something and stopped working again.
Another thing I had 1 time is a SLOW servo, after a "off"-"on" it worked again normally.
I've changed to gold contacts and resoldered the wires where they are on the ESC, none of this helped.
The transmitter is now back to the shop and they'll send it back.
If anyone has some ideas what could be wrong, please share :-).

my setup:
CODE Tx and Rx
trakpower 4900 lipo
Tekin RS speedo
speedpassion 3.0 7.5t motor
black tires

the Receiver is getting spiked and going into fail safe, but won't reset, so you have to do a hard reset (off-on).

Try a cap on the receiver, that may help.

Well it's soon back to schumacher normally, probs were so severe I don't think a cap would be enough to fix it.
(specs for caps? I will do it later to prevent issues like this)

I have been running a 'version' of this in two forms, budget and specced radio. The budget one was doing what yours did, but the other radio has been faultless up till now.

I have had no probs during actual racing, it happened once when I was testing out the new low profile Savox I bolted in, lock to lock in rapid succession made it freeze, but in actual racing, no problems yet.

I had a blip the other week, but that was down to a loose aerial

Don't know if its possible but try re-binding the reciever to the transmitter as I had similar problems at the weekend with a different type of radio and this solved the problems.

ive had the same problem with my core rc and i replaced the airal wire on the reciver and trancemiter and put the rx airel as high up as it can on the car and that seemed to stop it happening. try that if it dose the same thing when you get it back

Got mine the day after it was released, and run it every week since. Touch wood, no problems at all so far! Fantastic radio, presuming it works, as mine does.... hell, I'm really asking for problems aren't I!!!!
