Recently removed the front posts on my 501x cuz they kept coming loose and I didnt want to get a screw in my diffs. So I removed them totally and the front stays on. I only use the rear post as is stays on more securely.

I use both. Velcro on the sides since the car came with a couple strips.
And pins on the body. 3 pins isnt so bad, it's quick to get the body off and change batteries. If you get the big blue dynamite clips, its alot faster to remove the body and return to the track! It's almost better to use velcro because the undertray and body wont get worn out after removing the body so many times. I plan on doing the same with my 511 body which Im supposed to be getting this week. I know my lhs is slow on a few things, as they had to special order the stuff, I call them everyday to check on it.
