Default Nationals Question

Was thinking about our racing just, and was wondering is there any reason why we can't hold a national outdoors?

I know we go indoors during the winter mainly due to the weather, but the SPC which is normally outdoors, had their first meet at Ardent raceway which is indoors, so my question is, is an outdoor venue, most likely at the start or at the end of the season, an option, after all, we are running the kinds of cars that would normally be racing outdoors.

Sarah,

Taken from the recent EGM minutes:

Quote:
78. Proposal to Amend rule 9.2, to read all meetings to be held indoors
Proposer: Mat North
Seconder: Cris Oxley
Passed unanimously
I dont think that there is anywhere that says that our cars would "normally be raced outdoors".

Interesting point made, you could always use Proline Dirt Arena, and when they get it built, Ardent Raceway, as they are both 'indoor' venues

Ardent is amazing, I'm sure they'd love to put on a national if they we're approached.

Cosie, I've not seen all the new rules as they've not been published yet.

I've heard the rumour of an off-road track too, just not sure where (if it's meant to be indoors) they might be planning on putting it, as they've pretty much used up all the indoor space they have on the on-road track.

If you've not yet been though, don't let the photos online fool you into thinking this is a small track, it's absolutely huge! and all the people there are really nice too. The only criticism I've heard seems to be with regard to heating, but when I was there, they'd had heat lamps fitted, so they seem to be pretty pro-active in dealing with any issues that will obviously turn up from time to time.

They do need a sign though saying where they are, as I drove past the building, down the road to near Donnington Park, then back up into the little village, as it does just look like a farm building, as that's what it is or I suppose was.
