I'm looking into hoping up my Atom a little more soon to race at my club.
I've ball-raced her and added the Aluminium shocks and the adjustable turnbuckles for suspension and steering but was wondering what motor to upgrade too. Any suggestions ? Thanks J |

Hi it will depend on the size of your wallet, you could go for a faster brushed motor such as the blaze pro from CML at around £14.00 but be careful your speedo may not be able to handle much more power. Or go for a brushless system and one of the best IMO happens to be about the cheapest thats the Ezrun 1/18th kit for £40.00 you get Speedo-motor-and program card. The one for you to go for is the 18 turn 5200kv this will make your Atom fly. dont be tempted to get the 12T 7800kv set as this will tear your buggy to shreds. Hope this helps. Ashley

Thanks Ashley
Very helpful indeed ![]() I think I might go for that Ezrun Combo with the 18t I'm really impressed with the Atom...it can keep up with and actually out perform a few 1/10th cars at my club..very nimble and responsive and with the new Shocks it has outstanding handling. I'm hoping to expand 1/18th up here a bit..I'm gonna get a couple more Atoms for club cars and start a class ![]() Thanks again ![]() J |

Good to hear you enjoy the Atom if you are looking to get more have a look on flebay there are sellers in Hong Kong that sell buggies and trucks made by Henglong or Sacker I am pretty shore they are the same as the Atom (they are all RC18 clones) but the HK ones come with ali shocks drive shafts ball raced etc. I have had a couple of these myself and for the money they are damned good. If you look on UK-microrc site they have lists of clubs, there may be one in your area. Or push your club to run them they are great racing and cheap. Regards Ashley
