Default 8th Body shells

I have seen on Red RC a new JC Punisher shell for the RC8B and seen plenty of other shells from Proline with the forward mounted cab etc.

But does a shell really make much of a difference on a 8th car? You have a great big pair of big bores and a shock tower the air hits first?

I see ROAR have banned these new style of shells already but will the BRCA follow suit I wonder?

It maybe good for the big air american tracks but is a shell like this a must in the UK?

I assume this is a function before form design, air directed better around the air filter, and cooler airflow over the engine, still look ugly though.

what ROAR have done is basically remind everybody of the rules that have been in place all along! the body manufacturers have been pushing at the limits of the rules for a while now & the new shells are just a step too far

rules or no rules i wouldn't run one because they look wank
