Default Best Truggy servos.. 1256 or DS1015?

Both myself and a friend have recently finished putting together some fairly competative Truggies, mines an XT8, his an ST Pro.

We're looking at what the best servos to buy would be now. As the ones we've got in there at the mo aren't really up to spec.

The choice is between the Savox 1256 and Ace DS 1015..

Opinions would be very much appreciated asap please as we're going to try and get them in for some action at the weekend.

Many thanks,

Lawrence

I had a Savox 1268 steering servo and 1267 throttle servo fail on me at the Neo after a couple of practice runs, I replaced them with AE XP 1015 (same as the ACE) and they stood up fine. The steering servo failed on a normal landing, the gears were fine but the motor seized solid.

I've not had any problems with the Savox servo's in my 10th cars mind

Ive been running Ace DS1015's in my 8th for 7-8 months without hicup.

The only slight quible, is that the horns are a loose fit over the splines - so with the amount of force they're under the splines slipped early - but with a fresh horn and a bag on it, or two, they've been superb.

So remember, fresh horn put a bag or two on it, stop spline slippage.

or just use the supplied Ace horn - which is ideal bagless.

So far i've ran Ace (AE) servos for 2 years and no problems then i switched to Savox. So far they've done 2 gallons of running (including Neo) and i'm very pleased! A great thing about them is they do have a years guarantee so you have that extra comfort. I'm going to buy another Savox as back up though in the coming weeks for extra security

i have been running the ae ds1015 servos in my 1/10 scale stuff for a couple years with 0 problems, however i had a buddy burn 2 up in one race he was running lipo rx pack, the ae servos will not take the high voltage. I am using jr 9100's in my 1/8 scales
