Default Nintendo DS - Which one???

Morning people,

It's my wife's birthday this month and as she's due to give birth in June i thought a Nintendo DS might be a good idea as she's going to get really bored sat around at home before the baby comes, and then there's the possibility she might be in hospital for a while so this seems like a good idea....

My main query though, is which one do i go for?? There's the DS, DSi, DS Lite, DSi Xl

I've never actually seen one being used but all the women at work seem to love them and the brain training etc is supposed to be pretty good??

Anyone have one or used one?

Thanks in advance :-)

DSi or DSi XL, they are both the same, just the XL got bigger screens, and whilst your at it, buy an R4i card and download games to it.

DSI xl mate, As said earlier bigger screen, but also includes camera, web browser and one of the braintraining games build in.

It's kinda hit and miss with R4i cards with new DSi's and DSi XL's using the latest DS software due to R4i cards and games downloaded to them being basically illegal and piracy. So you can understand why Nintendo try and update software to stop these being used.

DS Lite, save some money and use buy the best version. The XL is no longer pocket sized gaming and only comings in shocking colours so far and the graphics look quite stretched on the bigger screen.
