Several companies make "chassis braces" to help with your problem, try your local hobby shop or whereever you make your purchases and do a simple search to see what they might have.

Ultimately, crashing into things and abusing your vehicle always results in broken parts - and while the SC10 is a great race truck it was never intended to be much of a basher.

RPM has a product that strengthens this weak spot of SC10. http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/product...ires/70902.htm

Associated have addressed the issue with a new chassis with more ribbing in the front to add strength.
Guess it's pot luck at the mo whether you get old stock or new, unless you specifically request only recieving the new one when ordering.

I've ordered the RPM brace, prevention rather than cure!

Let alone "how it landed" or if you were going at warp speed, or anything else, keep in mind that a 10-inch high jump to a 1/10th scale truck is somewhere about 6-feet high to a 1:1 SC truck (and I don't see them taking many of those).

Ah.. the scale reasoning!.. I use that veiw also but to be fair in this case it really was amazing it broke. prob a flaw in the moulding.. our 2nd truck has been fine and our club is caldicot s.wales where the jumps have been known to launch a 10th 5feet in the air and 15 feet in distance!!

Just because one does it and survives is no justification another should be guaranteed to do so.

By that logic the fastest a 1/10th scale car should go is about 15/16mph... That would be fun wouldn't it?

Just trying to keep things in perspective for the complainers blaming the truck; sorry you missed it.

the rpm bumper/brace is the answer. several people at my track broke chassis so after racing mine for a few months, i stopped pressing my luck and got the brace.

as for braking the rear, i agree sounds like a flawed chassis.
