Default Looking for hinge pin brace

Hello all,

I just ordered a ZX5 and found this forum when browsing for some tips ans tricks to use for the upcoming races.

From what I've read, the front hinge pin brace breaks easely and best needs replacing by an aluminium part. I've mailed Keith from www.glowplug.com and he answered that he can't deliver them anymore. So my question is : where can I (online) buy an alu front hinge pin brace ? I've googled for it, but can't seem to find it.

My first priority is to make the car reliable before I move on to fancy bits like CF shock towers or Ti screws. Are there any other parts that need replacing to make the car reliable ?

Thanks

Speed tech one looks good and they are quick and friendly.
Kyosho are also bringing out their own brace very soon but no idea when It will appear..

by the way, I didnt buy this brace from Speedtech....I bought some Ti screws. I'm hanging on for the Kyosho brace, or until I break it, whichever is sooner.

Thanks guys.
It's a shame the 10° caster steering knuckles are out of stock. I need those too. I suppose the 7° parts are included in the kit, but do the 4°'s have any use ?

Well,
I ended up ordering the following stuff :
  • ali hingepin brace
  • hex screw set (steel, perhaps later Ti)
  • 10° castor blocks
  • full set of springs
  • CF upper chassis
  • AE carbide diff balls
  • Ali wheel hexes

I hope this will do to have a competitive package for the upcoming season.
I will be running Orion 10x2 or 12x2 and GP3700's, but I hope to make the switch to brushless soon (was thinking about the LRP Vector 3*).

no the blue collar holds them on. Havnt seen anything else remotely similar on anything else. To know they break so easy i think its worth getting some spares in, ive got some on order now should be here next week hopefully. Just put me name down for some 4300 cells, they should last outdoor in lazer with a stupid wind motor in.

I have broken 3 shock tops so far. Two were broken when I ripped the rear shock tower off. And the third broke off when front part of my chassis broke.

I have. On my HPI RS4 shocks.

I can't tell if the HPI parts fit the Kyosho shocks, because I'm already waiting a week for Royal Snail to deliver my ZX5 kit.

I'll keep you posted when it has arrived.
