First thing to do is get rid of the standard Tamiya plugs and bullet connectors as they are high reistance and will be contributing to the overheating.
Use Deans for the battery and the motor, or solder the motor direct.
If that fails, you do need a new esc.

My son uses a Novak XRS in 2WD (and 4WD when he had one) with no problems.

Motor limits on esc's mean the limit and up not the limit and down. so on a esc with a 14t limit means you can run a motor from a 14t and up so this would include motors such as 19t and 27t etc but not a motor such as a 10t.

I would highly recomend the xrs ive had novak speedo's before and there top notch.

http://dcracing.co.uk/dcrshop/produc...roducts_id=478

Also in my personal opinion i would avoid mtroniks as ive had 4-5 bloe up on my cant remeber precisly they seemed to be going up left rigt and center.

Hope ive helped.

Hi guys, I am reading your thread and I have a suggestion. If you want a esc to power that 19t trinity motor, may I suggest these ones........http://www.horizonhobby.com/Search/D...m=tazer&CatId=

There is a club around here, (Canada) that uses the cheaper one, the 15t esc in their onroad cars and they swear by it. For $29US you can't go wrong.

buy one of these, doddy gear's top notch and it probably has a warranty card
the novaks warranty is as much use as a chocolate fire guard
