Default B44 - To glue or not to glue????

Hey guys!!

have just picked up a b44, and brushless system to go in it!!

Before i start my build, just wanted to know....should i sand and glue, just glue or do nothing to the edges of the carbon fibre pieces!?

Have seen posts on forums sayin gluing helps to stop any delamination of the carbon.

And if i do want to glue....any tips on preperation and actually doing it!?

cheers!!

Sand and glue-no doubt!!!

Sand lighy the corners off on front tower chassis and rear-asthetics.. so there smooth and no edges to delam. I then use a gtip or similar-and wipe a nice thick bead of CA around the edges. I do a few coats to be safe.. and you shouldnt have any issues after that. After sanding, remember to clean the carbon remains off aswell.

Cheers mate!! had heard conflicting views on this one!! will do as suggested!!

so far, am really impressed with the quality of the kit, and manual! definitely a step up from my ta05!

Also, have to mention modelsports uk, where the kit and everything for it came from! the service was excellent, i rang before hand to reserve, and when in the store the lad serving me was very helpful! and the price was good too!! i would def recommend them to anyone!!

No probs, Not sure where you heard/read bad on sanding/CA... but everyone I know sands and glues.. and I have and had no issues. Some dont, but its alot more likely to have issues if you dont...

Yea B44 are very nice you will be very happy with it!

I've never sanded or glued the edged and never had a problem with mine. the 5mm fibrelyte from tower has take a fair few upside down moments on tarmac without a sign of breaking or splitting
