Yeah, Simon Gillett is a greedy/deluded idiot imo, and has a lot to answer for. Bernie stringing him along was despicable too, but I'd expect nothing less from him. Now we've almost lost one of the greatest tracks in the UK.

Just finished uploading my photos from this. The event had a really good turn out, and for the first time I can remember this year we had sunshine!

Looks like the funding is available from various investors, but doesn't look like there'll be any racing this year. Earliest date for having an operational circuit was autumn if I remember correctly.

IIRC BTCC is supposed to be there in September

Yeah, British GT too, dunno if it's the same date though. Guess if they don't finish the track in time it'll be rallycross instead
