Default 8ight and 8ight 2.0 Steering

If you'd bought some parts that were meant to be 2.0 steering how would you be able to tell them apart from the old 8ight steering? What is actually different?

2 things that will stand out the most are :-

2.0 Losi have bushes in the short / long ackermann racks, the 1.0 did not have these.

The servo saver is a steeper cut angle on the 2.0 than the 1.0 (this may have been changed back to the 1.0 servo saver on later 2.0 models)

otherwise all other steering parts will be the same as a 1.0 I think.

As above, the servo saver on the 1.0 was a curved wave design, whereas originally the 2.0 was a angular wave design, and the spring was a lot thicker.
Losi reverted back to the 1.0 design on later cars.
