Just thinking of getting an airbruch and compressor to let my woman have a go at painting my shells - she is good at that kind of thing...
So what do you reccommend? Not looking to spend too much cause it may get little use - but obviouly no point in buying something thats no use.. Any reccommendations would be helpful thanks ![]() ![]() |

Aparently this https://airbrushes.com/product_info....oducts_id=1110 is quite a good brush for the money, I think it was Tel who said it was nearly as good as some of the really expensive kit.
I'd recomend getting a small compressor of ebay or similar. Something with a air tank and resevoir on it, like a pancake compressor can be had for as little as £25 and will be soooo much better than trying to use compressed air cans! Good luck! |

I got this one about a month ago, great stuff:

that is cheap, as all the cheap ones, tend to be 0.3mm which isn't brill for faskolor, I ended up buying an Iwata HP-CR which is a 0.5mm dual action.

DCM, that one comes with 0.2 and 0.5 needles and nozzles, and maybe a 0.3 already in the brush depnding on where you read. I just read a couple of on line reviews and for the cash it look promising.
When I use faskolor I prefer to thin it a bit and use a 0.3 brush. It just works for me, and with some practice will even spray chunky auto-air metallics too. |

Yeah, some will reduce down, others tend to be a little too wet then... the 0.5 is great

Yeah, the brush comes with a .3mm needle in it and has .2mm and .5mm spares.
I can use standard acrylic paint from the craft store with the .5mm nozzle on 60 psi without thinning. Most airbrush paint works good with 45psi and the .5mm nozzle. |
