Default xxx-cr chassis brace

This seems to be a weak point on the car, just wondering if there is an upgrade part in aluminium or something, it's the little piece that fits over the servo that the battery strap fits over. I have broken it now about 4 times, usually after landing a bit hard off a jump.

Cheers

Chris

For availability of parts, this item has been for same design since the XXX was originally released. As for actual items, Trinity used to produce an aluminium version, but be warned it does alter the handling of the car, as it changes the chassis flex alot.

You could go for the graphite version, but this could change handling too, just not so much.

The reason for breakage is probably heavy frontend impacts breaking off the 'nipple'. If this sounds about right, then look at making sure the strap is free moving in the rear bulkhead area.

Hope that helps.

Cheers guys for the feedback, yeah it is the 'nipple' that shears, and i thought the same thing as the battery strap was tight against the rear bulkhead. I've filed a couple of mil off it so hopefully if i get another impact the chassis will be able to just flex a bit instead of transfering all the force to the weak spot.

I'll order another standard one then based on what Phil said, thanks

I've also heard of people opening up the hole on the battery strap to allow some more movement
