19'' tft monitor

hi all
looking to get a 19'' tft monitor, standard 4:3, what should i be looking for ie resolution/contrast ratio/brightness/response rate etc etc
anyone got any good recommendations??

TFT's are actually 5:4

Don't put too much faith in the specs manufacturers quote, usually they're only any use for comparing screens by the same manufacturer as everyone measures everything differently

In my experience BenQ make very nice screens, which one depends on your budget

BenQ monitors as said are very good, I would also go for Hyundai and the top line Dell Ultrasharp models.
