The ZX5-FS is a one box race car .... just build it as stock, put on Tebo's standard set-up and it'll be great on the sort of tracks you have out there!!!

Hey the car works great out off the box you will not regret it. Lipo don't fit so you will have to do your own mods to make it fit. Just get the D4 front rims or the new kyosho rims the old ones dont go through the Scrute box.

Just got the car, will post pics once the camera charges. Powered it on, everything works. I think I am going to tear it apart, and clean and rebuild the diffs, or at least inspect, and refill the shocks, and set it up like tebos car for a good base.

Just got my FS going, I didn't take the diffs apart as they felt tight and smooth, I have not changed the shock oil yet, but plan to. I used my Hitec HS 525 mg servo for now till I can buy a better one. I cleaned the chassis a bit, and redid the motor wires and tried to route the wires the best I could. I couldn't really find may kyosho pics of wire routing so this is what I ended up with.

After running it in my open feild with very short grass I found that it over heated about 3-4 times. I think I need to make some vent holes above the esc in the body. I also found that the stock motor profile does not have enough braking for my likeing. But the car drives very well, lots of power!! This is also my first time driving a car with a sensored motor, I like it!! Very smooth. I did video (well wife did) I will try to post it later after I edit it. Its just driving in a flat empty feild, it was fun.

Lovely pics what's your spur gear ? On my B44 19/84 with a X12 6.5t was too much for the motor , it was too hot to touch after 20min , I had to drop down to 17/84 (had more punch and top speed the same)

Not really sure what gear ration it is right now lol. I have to count the teeth. Does it say the number on the spur gear?

stock spur is 78 teeth and the optional one is 75 teeth (although AE ones can be made to work).

I run 23/78 on my 6.5 motors in the FS (but only run for 5min races plus about 1 min either side so 7mins in total).

Have few of them, but haven't got time to ride them.
They look ok and i think the edges are glued from the factory.
Two together would be badass.

I found that I had a bonded rotor in the novak motor, so I got a 12.5mm sintered rotor from a fellow racer, and installed it, and man what a difference, I only drove it in the house in the living room on the hardwood floor, but I noticed significant braking improvement and more throttle response. I can't wait to race it!!!

Start with Tebo's set-up (look on Kyosho America site, support section) and work from there

Thanks, I forgot I already asked in the begining of the thread lol, I will set it up like his car. I sort of forgot because I am building my B44 with his setup as well, and that he switched from AE to kyosho.

This track i'm going to run at is huge!!!

New charger!!!! This is replaceing my Dynamite Vision Peak Ultra, its like the same charger but updated! My old one works great but at 2.5 max charge rate for lipos it takes forever to charge my 4000 mah packs. This new one charges at 8amps.

Pics.
