Default Wheels for Lazer ZX-5

Hiya,

Please can anyone tell me what size/type wheels i should be looking for to get a spare set for my Lazer? I am still used to 1/8 scale and the 1/10 stuff is new to me. Noticed there are different width rims and all sorts of size tyre variations. I just want some spare yellow dished rims with Shumacher mini pins so any advice on which i need will be great please?

Cheers
Simon

You'll be needing Kyosho wheels then...

Rears are the same for all ZX5's
SP and FS fronts are the same, but different from std ZX5 and RTR.

DMS amongst others have a good stock..

p.s. yellow wheels are gay

Hopefully someone else can confirm but..

If you have the SP or FS then you need;

Front wheels : Model number KW5201W
http://www.microtechracing.com//prod...cat=LAZER+ZX-5

Rear wheels - Model number W5204W
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFun...n&ItemID=34017

(I couldn't find the rears on the microtech site

If you have the standard lazer then its;

Front wheels: Model number W5026W
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFun...n&ItemID=18972

Rear wheels - Model number W5204W
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFun...n&ItemID=34017

unfortunately they are. Swaps can be done with mods to the drivetrain to adjust offset and change hex size, but unless you've got loads of losi wheels then I can't see it bin worth it

i have a load of old original ZX5 wheels knocking about, some may still have part worn tyres on. I can post some up to you for peanuts as they are just taking up space. The rears will be ok for you which ever zx5 you have, but the fronts are only for the original or RTR version

The Annsman Mad Rat wheels front and rear fit but you may need to get slightly thicker hexes for the front as the front wheels are fractionally narrower. The rears are a perfect fit. These are cheap as well but good quality.

Cheers will take a look at the Mad Rat ones too.

Not sure which ZX-5 I have got for the different front wheels avaialable as the previous owner built it onto a Carbon chassis with loads of hop up parts, does anyone know how I can tell so i don't get the wrong front wheels?

Thanks
Simon

simples: RTR and std zx5 fronts have a lip around the edge, SP and FS (which it def will not be) have flat face wheels.

Hi Col,

Cheers just checked the wheels and both fronts and rears have a 2mm lip/rim going around the outside edge of each wheel next to the tyres, so I guess that means I need to buy std front wheels and any for the rear as the other guys suggest.

Thanks, now off to find some yellow rims with Shumacher Mini Pins attached. Anyone got a spare set for sale? Will be racing indoors on hard floors.

Regards
Simon

Does the "flush" wheels or whatever fit on the FS? Part number w5202. Have a ton of them for my rb5 and I am thinking of getting a FS.

On the front?

As far as I know (and I might be wrong) all rear wheels are the same, front flush wheels are SP and FS and the lipped fronts are std and rtr.
