Xcelorin setup feedback
This might be useful to someone, so I thought I'd post it. I started setting up my speedo yesterday, by installing the software. I downloaded the newest version of the program, and managed to install it and the USB driver ok. I disabled the resident shield in AVG beforehand as previously posted. Got the speedo to connect to the software fine, the firmware is the latest version so thats good.
Came to calibrating it to the radio, bit more of a problem. I was planning to use an older Futaba rx with my KO Vantage as I have done in the past, to save playing musical receivers to free up a KO one. Checked it worked ok on the old speedo, before trying the Losi one. After needing a few goes at getting it into the right mode with the yellow led up, if would not calibrate. I tried reversing the throttle on the tx, no difference. The steering was working during this process, so power was there.
I pulled the KO rx from another car, and tried that. After setting the tx to reverse on the throttle again, I managed to calibrate it. I did try switching back to the Futaba rx once done, but it would not recognise the throttle.
It seems from this and previous posts that the Losi speedo is particular about the radio setup, in a way that other makes may not be. Whether this can be changed I dont know, but it would be good if it was less picky!!
