Ansmann Mini wheels

Is it just me or are their wheels very competitively priced but total and utter garbage for race use. Every set I've ever had (and I've tried all the styles) has fractured round the outer rim to the extent that eventually the tyre comes off, well that's if it hasn't worn out first (they only last a meeting at a time). The chrome plating seems to be thicker than the snot green plastic it's loosely stuck to. At the last meeting the centre of the (Alpina spoked style) front wheel actually came out leaving the rim and tyre to make a break for freedom, my Mini to limp round (tonight Matthew I am going to be...a Reliant Robin) with terminal understeer and several people pissing themselves laughing. Come on Ansmann, how much can it cost to make the plastic a bit thicker/more flexible? Oh, and while you're at it, how about making the bloody things a tad bigger in diameter so we aren't instantly disadvantaged by having lower effective gearing.

i have had the problem with these smashed 2 sets on the rims up so there utter cr*p
