Default Classic Car ICE

Evening all,

I'm looking for a setup of decent speakers to go into a 69 Volvo P1800. My brother is restoring one because he 'wants the Saints car' and has asked for some speakers and maybe a head unit for Christmas so I am tasked with tracking down the best sounding, smallest and plainest looking speakers there are out there on the market.

Head unit wise I was thinking of something along the lines of a Pioneer DEH-P77 because it looks slightly more retro than your average head unit only it seems that its no longer available unless I get second hand?

I know there are quite a few ICE nuts on here hiding in the corner so if you have any ideas and point me in the right direction or makes/models or possibly some retailers I'd really appreciate it.

Cheers

MikeyB

If you want retro [Jimmy Savile] how's about this then [/Jimmy Savile]

I hope you've got deep pockets though http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/5822.html

Alternatively you could find an original/period headunit but not have it wired in then have an amp in the boot or under a seat then have a 3.5mm plug with twin phonos so that you can plug an ipod to it.

The Becker Mexico is a nice piece of kit and looks the part but the price is mental... £750 is about the cheapest I can find it.. I think I'll leave that to him to buy..

Pick of the car as of a few weeks ago attached, it started life in gold so has been stripped back and resprayed. it currently awaiting its new interior and new set of 4 mini lite's and it'll be near completion. I'll see if I can get some more shots out of him.
