Yeah had a great day, good weather,a pretty good track layout and tons of likeminded folk. Could be more of the same next weekend??? Enjoyed a pint (post race wind down) afterwards with a few other racers and feel this is a habit we should keep up More of the same please-Thank you BBC

Glad you had a good time. It was a really good turnout (33 I think) and it was great that so many people (including non member from Teeside) helped put the track out.

Whilst not as good as the proper rostrum on the container I thought the temp rostrum worked great with the straight on the grass. We won’t be able to run the straight as usual for the time being as it goes behind the double but the way we worked it I thought was fine???

One day the BBK system will work properly and we’ll get racing sooner.

Unfortunately I couldn’t stay past 5pm so missed the finals and the packing up, was everything OK? The post race pint sounds a great idea 

Dianne was saying there would be a meeting next week if there is no regional, unfortunately I can’t make that so hope you all have a good time 

It was a good day!! i got burnt and am in pain today!! The pint after was a good reward i felt, bit dissapionted with Von dutch as he turned down a FREE pint from me, shows that he is under the thumb!!!(Sorry mate!)

Dan showed why he is called super dan as he sorted my car out for me so cheers. i thought i had alot of bits left over from when i built my car, thought they were handy spares!! but no.... they were vital parts that made my diff work!!

my half arsed buggy.... [/quote]

Was it even half-arsed ???

I thought the Rostrum was great where it was, might be worth just sticking with that, although I've not raced using the proper one so can't judge any difference.

Alex, was it you that had ribs on the front?

If so they aren't really going to give you a good balance with the mini spikes. You want the same tyres all round, assuming it's dry yellows are the best though blues would last longer but not give as much grip, the balance would be good though.

Was it your motor that packed up in round 4?

I thought the whole day was great. being fairly new to racing I still am impressed by how friendly, helpful and amusing just about everyone is. I met guys from all over, at all grades and all seemed to be having fun, whilst taking the racing seriously.

The rostrum worked for me. I have been up on the old container and while the view is better, the current set up doesn't spoil your day. I did break a couple of bits nipping in through those concrete rails to go over the double, which is probably more to do with my driving than the track.

Looking forward to th next one...and a bigger turnout at the pub!

super_dan, yes and yes. but it is fine with the ribs at the fornt, it dont make that much difference to me, its fine. no problems at all. i ment half arsed, because the motor kept playing up and then weird stuff kept happening to me, cables kept popping out, and then the swith wire came out :s ? and then finally my motor packed up and it still isnt working now... so philly very kindly lent me a motor and a gave me a switch, thanks phil

No probs Alex, anything to help. Perhaps if you spent a little less time on here and more time cleaning and checking your car you might not have those probs!!!

Hey Phil, I was the guy marshalling in the middle that liked your shell, I think it looks nicer in real life than it's possible to do justice on a sig line
