Hi all, I might be coming along next monday.
I have an xray, has anyone got a basic set-up for use on your floor.

I am guessing its in the region of no anti-roll bars, soft springs and loose diff...and less "thumb-happy throttle!"

What's the standard class raced? Is it 13.5?

Many Thanks,
Charlie Ware

Hi Charlie

As you know from my time at Kettering, I also run the Xray, though I know you've got the 009, while I run the 008. As for setup, my car is standard out of the box expect for: Removal of rear rollbar - front one remains. White springs front and rear, diff in front and rear but I actually run the diffs quick tight, though they have been loosened a little from when I was running on the carpet at Kettering.

Right height is 5mm as per Kettering, though we run at a minimum weight of 1500g. 13.5 brushless is the motor we run. I know you like your throttle but you'll probably need to take it steady.

The week before last when we had a tight track I ended up running half throttle, though I was running in a brand new set of yellow rally block tyres. They started to give me more grip this week.

I think you'll enjoy it from running on rails on carpet!

Hope to see you on Monday...
