Post Drilling drive shaft on X6

Hi Guys

Have got the standard B4 driveshafts fitted to my X6 and have noticed that with the droop on the rear the driveshafts unload from the cups when the car is in the air. Have heard that you can redrill the shafts but unsure on how much that they need to be redrilled and is there enough thread on the remainder of the axle?

Thanks for the help

Windy

take the axles out, turn them so the original hole is at 3 oclock grind a small flat at 12 oclock 4mm further out and drill a new hole for the pin

If you've got the gear you can redrill but make sure you get it right i.e. you get it bang on the centreline else it will make the wheel vibrate. Easiest way is to buy the X Factory extended axles part # XF5660
