Back into racing......using lipo 5000, just wondering how often you would recommend to discharge them. Thank you

Never. Just run them and charge them. If you're going to store them for a while make sure they are more than 3/4 full.

That's it.

Default lipo charge

Would you advise to discharge after each race?...then do you charge as normal?

nope. You're thinking ols skool nimh. As long as lipo is balance charged fairly often and stored above 3/4 full they don't seem to go wrong.

You should never take a Lipo battery lower than 6volts as it can seriously damage them. There's no need to ever discharge lipos, just store them at 7.6volts when not in use (all when using 7.4volt packs).

Lipo has zero memory unlike ni-cd/ni-mh

It will just reduce the battery's life by discharging them.
