Could you experienced electric guys/gals give me tips and hint when it comes to buying the brushless systems as i havent got a clue what most of it meens. E.G. does the number os turns matter, do you have to run lipo baterys, will any esc work with any motor. Basicly could someone run me threw the basic so i got any idea please haha Cheers Stotty ![]() |

Which buggy, 2 or 4wd?
Quote:
ie 3.5T is faster than 10.5T Number of turns matters in your esc selection and car, surface you plan to race on. More you pay the more chance it will handle 3.5T motors LiPo's are the norm now. Either stick or saddle. Your chassis will determine what you go for. Most modern esc's have LiPo voltage cut off to prevent over discharge of the battery. LiPo's need a charger with LiPo charge mode built in which most new ones have.

Motor chioce would be from 7.5, 8.5 & 9.5t depending on skill level and track surface you plan to race on
You can fit regular stick or saddle pack LiPo's in the chassis or the new 'shortie' Losi LiPo. Depending if you run mid motor or outboard motor will help sort out your choice of esc due to space available in chassis. Check out the Losi threads on o0ple for install pics to help you make a choice for batteries, esc, servo etc

I allready have Savox servos from my nitro. they are the SC-1256 and the SC-1258 these ok ?
I also have a Spektrum SR3100 reciver and Spektrum DX3R wheel. Another quick question do you need a seperate battery pack for your reciver or do they run off you normal battery pack ? |

The 1258 servo is an ideal servo for 1/10th 2wd steering. Nice and fast.
