Default Transponder mounting

Where have people mounted their transponders in the Cat SX?

I've got an AMB transponder that's going to sent away to be cloned at MRT and wondering where people are mounting them.

Pics would be nice too.

Thanks

I have a Micro Spektrum SR3500 RX coming and I'm tempted to put the MRT unit next to the RX.

Got a sanwa servo so not mounting on that due it not being perfectly flat. Thought about the top deck, but next to the RX should be nice and tidy.

I have got it stuck vertically behind my steering servo, I have a low profile Futaba fitted so there is plenty of room.

I have had no lap counting probs with it being mounted like this.

Transponders should be mounted flat, this is what the BRCA say.
Mine is on the servo, never had a problem.

Ah, it seems to work ok for me, maybe im missing some laps when Im racing, thats why I dont make the A final!

Laying flat could be the way to go! on top of the servo for me then!

I have ordered the MRT PT without the lugs and I hope it'll fit nicely next to the Spektrum Micro 3500

My MRT sits on the main chassis between the servo and ESC, parallel to the receiver as there is loads of room - no problems at all

My MRT fitted easily on the chassis, even with one of the bigger Spektrum receivers.

Cool sounds like it's going to be a good fit with the micro and MRT without any lugs

Yup cheers.

Sorry for the questions, but if it's going to be done it HAS to be done right.

David, Titchfield has an AMBRC system coming, come down and race?

I think what we'll try and do is organise a day spring next year. Get it advertised and get a few more people along.

I would really like that!!! I have been there once a few years ago, its a good track! I may possibly try to get a few of us down there this winter. Believe it or not this is the slow part of our race year!!! But it would be good to come race there again!!!
