Default Control tyres

Now that we have finished our first ever Championships, the next meeting will be a normal open meeting and although we still have rules for cars that are entered to race such as the type of cells and motors allowed, we are going to be dropping the control tyre for the next few weeks.

We've done this to allow everyone to try a wider range of tyres to see just what is the best option to run for the club and into the next championship which will run in January 2010.

A lot of us have been seeing the 20mm wide Schumacher Yellow Mini-pins only lasting for 3-4 meetings!! I certainly do not want to be buying sets every 4 weeks, so I'm just as keen as everyone else to see what we come up with.

So for all members and guests who come along to race over the coming weeks, there is no limit on what you run in terms of the tyres. It will be interesting just to see what works and what doesn't.

We are happy for drivers to try out tyre warmers, but please NO additives at all.

Thanks for your cooperation.
