the squared has following differences:

- one piece chassis as opposed to 2piece
- different shock tower
- different rear wishbones
- different battery brace

Those are the main differences as far as know...

The squared has a 4 gear tranny, bushings in the chassis for the rear hinge pins, beefier rear blocks and better quality plastics. The squared is an all around better car. It has a bunch of running upgrades from the years of running the car.

But to be fair, so do most "old" X6's as well, it was a running change and I'd expect most of the early 3 geared versions have been upgraded by now.

Usually we make an Upgrade Kit if we can, but the Squared has so many new and better parts that we didn't do it, better off the whole new Squared Kit.

That said, the Squared by itself is not faster or "better" than the original X - 6. You can have a blast winning races with an original X - 6 for years to come. As the Accident said, most original cars have the Upgrade Kit we did make to put the 4-Gear in, and you do want that. But the engineering principles remain the same between the original and the Squared. Motor placement, weight distribution, suspension geometry, everything important for racing are unchanged. (The triangle ("geometry") in the rear suspension was moved, but not changed, to accommodate the new control arms, and the Squared tower is different to keep the same triangle.)

So if you've got your eye on an original car with the 4-Gear, get it and Welcome to The Family!

Darren will hate me for not pushing the new car...
