I know it's not the done thing to faff about with these things too much (I've even reverted back to kit springs now) but does anybody add weight to their SC10 when running LiPo? I've always run mine bare but now I'm wondering whether that is really the best idea or if I'm just making it harder work than it needs to be...
Second question, which spur should I be running with a 10.5T brushless motor, I'm currently on the big one with an 18T pinion and it does accelerate well but it hits it's top end within a few metres. On t'other hand I don't want to cook the motor by overgearing it neither. Suggestions would be gratefully received. |

Mine is weightless, can't be bothered with the faff of balancing the chassis with it, but then again, I've only got a wee 3800 Orion LiPo, so it might benefit with some lead?
I don't have a clue what spur gear I've got on mine, but with my X10 10.5, the biggest pinion I can fit is a 23t, so I'm assuming its in the upper 80s range (87t maybe?). Doesn't get too warm, doesn't drop off during a run either.
