Have to admit that those finals were some of the best I've raced in so far. I really do enjoy it when we have such close and clean racing, a couple of door rubbing moments but that's just how close it was

The track was a nice open flowing one too...

It was nice to know that you can make a move on a relatively small gap and know that the guy you are passing wasn't goings to irationally close the door or anything. Being able to trust the guy you're racing against makes it that bit more fun.

Also interesting to see that the pace of the newish rally blocks and my bald mini pins wasn't all that different. Maybe the lack of grip that people were feeling with the bald pins isn't bothering me as much as i like to let the back swing a little around tighter corners anyways?

Interesting what you say about the tyres, I'm in two minds to allow both types as a control tyre - mini-pins and rally blocks, both yellow. That way the members can decide which tyre best suits their driving style.

The mini-pins are great, my problem is that I was getting through a set in 3 meetings!! At least the rally blocks look like they might give me more meetings before going off

BTW, I agree with your comments on racing, it's really great to race with others who are always fully aware of what's going on around them and are prepared to wait for the right opportunity to pass, rather than punt the leader off the track.

Another great night of racing Maz

Interesting first heat of the A final, four into one never works does it ... however, we all still managed to get through the race unharmed.

I love it when you get races like that. Good to see Ian back in the thick of it too to help spice things up...
