Default Ripmax Pro Peak Supernova charger?

Hello all
Does anybody have any experience of these chargers?
http://www.ripmax.com/Images/PDF_Fil..._Manual_LR.pdf
At the moment I have a BMI Ultrapeak 5a:
http://www.bmi-models.com/site/index.php?i=405
and I'm using Sanyo 2600 Ni-mhs.
I was looking to buy a separate discharger just to try and condition the packs, but the Pro Peak has an integrated discharger. The BMI is a fairly basic charger with no bells and whistles, so will it be worth trading up to the more complex Ripmax? Are there any false-peaking issues when using Ni-mhs on the Ripmax?

P.S. I had a great first nights racing at York a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to Loose, Von Dutch, Brett and everybody else who said hello!

Cheers

Leigh

I'm pretty sure its linear mate, certainly in Nimh mode.

I've got one and it seems to be a fine basic charger for inexpensive cells, although when I get some fancy cells I'll probably get a fancier charger as well. A bit awkward to use but once you have the hang of it its fine.

The discharge works fine but at 3 amps is slow, and once its discharged it starts charging again automatically after a short pause which is a pain.

I'd heard a similar rumour mentioned about my middle of the road pro peak charger. This rumour was rubbish as well...

yes, and if you look this is under trickle charge, and under the nimh mode it doesn't even trickle charge.

Many thanks for the replies guys. As it happens, I didn't get the charger anyway, so will stick with my BMI for now.
Cheers, Leigh.
