Saddle pack lipo tips.

Just finished installing brushless, low profile stand up servo and brca sized hard cased saddle pack lipos in my pred X11. Got it all in nicely, then found body wouldn't fit as the servo horn caught it where it tapers to the rear ! Sorted it now, so here's my tips if your thinking of doing the same.

Getting everything down low into the chassis was my goal, hence a stood up low profile servo. The servo causes most of the trouble and needs mounting as far forward as possible.

Remove a small amount from the chassis with a dremel to get the lipos as far forwards as possible. Mount the servo right up to the lipo and use one of the 4 mounting areas for the servo to pass the battery post through.

If you can have a clear body to hand so you van check all clearances before drilling the chassis !

Mount the servo to the side if the chassis with a spare servo mount, or make one, or aparently there is a team item available. The mounting position will be around 1 cm forward of the hole that for the body mount.

All in it's a tight fit, needs a bit of patience, a dremmel and a drill.

i ran a x-11 in saddle form, i then changed to stick pack, found the stick to be more balanced in the chassis.
