Unhappy The Biggest Steam Fair in the North of England

and I missed it @ Pickering, North Yorkshire. Found out yesterday on billboards as I had a day out with my mother to Whitby & Scarborough.

was toying with going there or Hong Nor Cup event as I thought they were on the same weekend

any others to match, size, engines etc of the Pickering Event before the season ends for them?

You didn't want to go on last day, the organizing company vanished with the takings, and the exhibitors blockaded everybody in the site

dorset is cool get in there for around 9.30 and dont leave till 1 am lol havnt been for 2 years now but you do need 2/3 days the fair used to stay open till about 1am and was a bit like going to a theam park got to be one of the biggest funfairs in the country .the auto jumble is huge as is the market ,plenty of choice on foods and drinks all around the site plus probly the biggest collection of steam /lorrys you will ever see takes around 1/2-3/4 of an hour to walk with out stoping from 1 side of the site to the other there is plenty for every one there not just steam or vintage nuts .even if you dont like steam the line up in the dark of all the showmans engines is 2nd to none .have a few hunderd pics of the last time i was there if any one is intersted

Soulth Lakes club has a race meeting at the cumbria/flookborough steam fair every year, it's good fun, we get in the show for free, and get lots of people coming to watch us
