Accessing files - again!

I had a problem with this before, and I think Mr southwell sorted it for me!

Basically, i'm struggling to get laptop to access files that are stored on my desktop. Desktop runs Windows Vista, and so does laptop. I had it sorted nicely when using my XP laptop. It will access files that are in the "shared" directory, but not files that are in my own profile area.

Any ideas?
